Fight off the hordes

Endless Mode Added to Orcs Must Die! Unchained

News about the next entry in the Orcs Must Die! series, titled Orcs Must Die! Unchained, has been scarce since it was first revealed last autumn. Unlike previous entries, the game has shifted in mechanics to be somewhat more "MOBA-like", though there would be a non-PvP option for players just looking to play with friends. With the latest update to the game's beta (still closed), it looks like we'll be getting a type of endless/horde mode in addition to the standard game.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Cars Playing Soccer Edition

The year is 2143.  The Intercontinental Earth Union is celebrating it's 50th anniversary by putting on the most anticipated Rocket League match to date, and it's a heated one.  Onlookers are devouring popcorn that tastes like if a Werther's was dipped in foie gras.  Fireworks are exploding into reruns of Dharma and Greg.  Cars are ramming into both gigantic soccer balls and each other.  It's rad.  Everything is amazing.  The future rules.  Go Earth.

They captured an incredible view hoping to inspire gamers to join Extra Life or make a donation. Check out the video they put together below.

An interesting change to the game

New Bloodborne Patch Will Scale Lower Level Players to Host

The Souls series and, by extension, Bloodborne haven't always been the easiest when it comes to connecting with your friends. Arguments about core mechanics of how summons are intended to work aside, it appears that gothic horror adventure title will be getting a patch next week to make matching easier and, more intriguing, to scale the stats of lower level players to the host.

The irony is that we're taking time to explain everything.

No Time to Explain Remastered Hits Xbox One, Steam Next Friday

The little studio that could, tinyBuild, ran successful Kickstarter and Greenlight campaigns a little while back, giving them the kick in the pants they needed to create No Time to Explain. Not that anyone truly can, but it's worth a shot.

Fend Off The Darkness In Warlocks vs Shadows' New Horde Mode

It's not often that one gets to witness the eternal encroachment of darkness first-hand, to see its inky tendrils consuming all that you know and love while you stand helplessly by.  Not the way you can in Warlocks vs Shadows' new horde mode, at least.  The light, in fairness, stands its ground for as long one can hope for.  It's a doomed effort, though.  It always was and always will be.  The darkness grows ever closer, dearest readers, I can feel it caressing my fingers at night.

No solace in this solstice

The Red Solstice Co-Op Review

The Red Solstice is one of the few games this year where co-op is the core element instead of an afterthought. After a successful Kickstarter, Croatia’s Ironward have built a Frankenstein monster, drawing influence from many different places. Blending the gameplay elements of a tactical strategy game with the atmosphere of a survival horror i...
