Rebellion showed off an all new Sniper Elite 3 trailer recently, focusing mainly on the multiplayer and co-op modes. For sure, players will be dying to play them on day one, if not for the co-op alone.

For the past year or so here at Co-Optimus HQ, things have a been a little bit quiet. As the "generations" transition between consoles gamers seem to be waiting on content. Today they got a glimpse of that content from Microsoft who unleashed game after game after game to the audience.
A fair amount of time of Microsoft's press conference at this year's E3 was spent basically stating "we've got indie games!" One of those games is Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, a Co-Optimus staff favorite when we saw it last year being demo'd for the PC, and which is now confirmed as coming to the Xbox One through the ID@XBox program.
It's safe to say the folks making Sunset Overdrive never intended to make a serious shooter. I mean, setting your game in a world where a tainted energy drink turns people into mutants (that you can then dispatch with a firework-launching flare gun) doesn't exactly suggest "gritty." They even poke fun at the overwhelming number of realistic cover-based shooters in their E3 trailer.
The third conference of the day is Ubisoft. Under their belt are the Tom Clancy franchises like The Division and Splinter Cell. Of course there are other staples like Assassin's Creed to add to the mix now, but could Ubisoft surprise us like they did two years ago with Watch_Dogs and a new IP?
Tom Clancy's The Division has the promise to be a great squad based co-op game, and the recent gameplay footage definitely has us eager for more. In it, you see a group of players take on enemies to secure a base of operations from which they can coordinate more ops.
Microsoft's E3 press conference was filled with a lot of co-op game goodies. One of these was a full-on demo of the new co-op mode for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity. The new mode allows you and up to three friends to take on missions together within the open-world, as opposed to limited maps like the previous titles with Wolfpack.
Let's be honest. Who really cares about "collateral damage"? Certainly not the explosively-inclined cops of the new Crackdown game revealed today at E3. Yes, everyone's favorite police brutality simulator is being rebooted exclusively for Xbox One. Not too many details have emerged, but it is revealed to have some form of co-op. We can also assume everything is going to be on fire or blowing up.
Microsoft fans, get ready to slip into skin-tight robo suits and waste a bunch of monstrosities. Warframe is finally coming to the Xbox One sometime later this year. Previously exclusive to PC and PlayStation 4, Digital Extremes have finally been able leverage the power of the ID@Xbox Program to port their third person action game to Microsoft's shiny new platform.

Microsoft is set to announce...well games. Plan on getting your eyes on Halo 5: Guardians, which isn't set to release until next year. There are plenty of rumors like Halo anniversary editions, and some other surprises. It really is a wide open slate on what we'll see this fall and beyond from Microsoft. With next-gen consoles starting to gather dust due to a lack of releases, expect those gaps to be filled by indie games.
