With all the commotion of new consoles and launch titles, it's possible you have have missed a new co-op game on Xbox 360, PS3, XBLA, PSN, and PC. Young Justice: Legacy hit digital shelves in November (thanks to dfjdejulio for noticing our mistake), and aims to bring the world of the Young Justice television show into the world of video games.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: The mod does not add co-op. It adds a multiplayer mode with no NPCs that encourages PVP play. The team behind it has no immediate plans to add NPCs to this mode. Thanks to everyone who let me know otherwise. Despite the lack of cooperative play, this is still a really amazing feat by regular people who really just enjoy playing the game. Looks like the co-op dream will need to wait until (hopefully!) Just Cause 3.
Lost Crypts is just the co-op dungeon crawler you're looking for. Played entirely in your browser, this retro-styled RPG puts you in floor after floor of dimly lit corridors stocked with enemies, spawners, gold and treasure. Along with up to three other players, it's your job to mine each area for all it's worth, then head down to do it again. Shockingly fun, and the co-op is simple but inclusive enough to work.
