Refueled and ready for another steampunk romp

The Chaos Engine Remake Hits Steam August 29

This is a co-op game announcement that surprised me mainly because I had never heard of it before. I mean, there are plenty of games I'd never heard of before, sure; but I would have sworn to you just yesterday that I could name you the great co-op shooters on the SNES/Sega Genesis consoles. Apparently I somehow missed The Chaos Engine, a top-down shooter that had its heyday back in the early 90s. The good news is that I'll get a chance to check it out as a remake has been in the works and will see release next week.

4 players can work together to design and run a zoo

Partner Up to Become Zoo Tycoons on Xbox One

Frontier Developments' Kinectimals was one of the earliest Kinect games available and allowed you to play with, poke and rummage some animals, but it lacked depth.  Perhaps their Xbox One game, Zoo Tycoon will solve this?  Up to 4 players can join up online to design a Zoo and manage it together; all the time using Kinect to play with, poke and rummage the animals.

Patching in extra fun (or fixes)

Saints Row IV Receives Patch on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

Saints Row IV is out. We posted our review last week. Did you read it? You should. We also broke down the game's co-op features in our handy-dandy FAQ. Check that out too. If you haven't fired up the game yet on a console now is the perfect time as both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game have received a patch that fixes several (minor) issues.

With a mobile companion app, too!

Tom Clancy's The Division to Get PC Release

The team at Massive Entertainment rolled out a few pieces of information for its upcoming open world RPG Tom Clancy's The Division. The biggest is that the previously console-exclusive title will now be coming to PC. Publisher Ubisoft says this is largely due to the "vocal and passionate PC community" and something about "the positive energy [they] bring back to the team". So, in short, love vibes, fan rants, and online petitions. (We kid, we kid.)
