Giving up hope is hard.  Most folks would much rather irrationally cling to something's existence in perpetuity than see it destroyed forever.  Heck, it's why people still believe D.B. Cooper is out there living the dream in some South American fishing village, despite evidence indicating that his story met an abrupt end when it hit the Earth's surface at a few hundred miles per hour.  Because of this, the announcement that Furious 4's development has ceased is kind of a bummer, even though we kind of knew it all along.

At a San Diego Comic Con panel this past weekend (which included Stan Lee), six new characters were revealed for LEGO Marvel's Avengers. These six were America Chavez, supervillain Crossbones, Hulkbuster, Stan-buster, Sam Wilson as Captain America, and Iron Stan.

Firefly Studios continues to pump out packs of content for Stronghold Crusader 2 on PC. Each one themed as a head to head match-up between characters. Xbox Live Gold members know the drill. Each week, a handful of games goes on sale for anyone with a shiny gold membership. You see, you buy, you play, easy. This time around we've got a whole lotta Lara for not a whole lotta loot, but we happen to be a bit partial to the co-op friendly Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

Master Chief and Friends didn't become Spartans just because they love wasting alien scum. Sure, that might be a perk, but it's not the guiding factor. The Dev's over at 343 want to explore a more human side of Chief and the other Spartans populating the world of Halo 5: Guardians. After all, a story about faceless supersoldiers flooding extraterrestrials with hot lead might be okay for a bit, but that'll fall flat without character development.

Action movies have it all: action, um, more... action. Ok, but that action part, they've got down pat, and that's why we love 'em. The bad guys that can't aim, the protagonist jumping around like a monkey, the impossible crashes, explosions, and so on. Good stuff. Now, imagine if the stunts and "realism" of 80s and 90s action films was stuffed into a video game. Welcome to Killing, My Friend.
